About The Ushering Ministry
Ushering Ministry is crucial in any congregation. 1Corinthians 12:28 identifies the Ministry of the Helps. The following roles as described in the scriptures define the positions occupied by Ushers in the body of Christ:
- Doorkeeper – Psalms 84:10
- Priest – Numbers 3:5-10
- Gatekeeper -1Chronicles 9:17-27
- Deacons – Acts 6:1-7
Ushering Ministry Key Roles
- Welcoming people at the door and making them feel wanted and appreciated
- Helping people find places to seat
- Helping visitors find help as necessary
- Maintaining order during the service
- Collecting tithes and offerings
- Distributing bulletins and service programs
- Cleaning and arranging seats in readiness for the service
- Calming running children

Requirements
- Be a born again Christian
- Person above reproach
- Person full of God’s love for the people
- Should dress decently and modestly
- Maintains good public relations
